Puckett EMS, Inc. is dedicated to providing the best customer service to all its patients and customers. One such way we strive to meet this goal is to bill your insurance company(s) for the transportation provided. In rare cases where we are notified of some extenuating circumstances and we know the service will not be an Insurance defined “Covered Service” we will communicate with the patient and request payment at time of service.
Our service attempts to obtain insurance information from the facility you were taken from or to. In some situations, we are not able to obtain all the necessary information and will send you notice of our need for the data. Please comply with these requests as quickly as possible as there are time limitations on most insurers for us to file the claim. If we miss the time frame due to not receiving necessary information from you, you may be responsible for the bill. We make all attempts to relieve you of the filing requirements of insurance companies but rely upon you to ensure we have all necessary information to perform this service.
If your transport is related to a motor vehicle accident, workers compensation, or third party liability/injury, we will require the information to bill those insurance carriers. Please note that we will require your car insurance information even if the accident was not your fault.
Lawsuits and third party liability claims can at times take months and even years to settle. Puckett EMS will do everything to provide the information necessary for this to occur but we cannot wait until settlement to cover our bills. If necessary we will establish a payment plan with you to ensure the bill does not go into collection status.
