Puckett EMS is seeking driven, dedicated candidates interested in taking the first step to join the emergency medical services industry. Your EMT certification is the first step in a career in EMS or can be a steppingstone to careers in public safety and health care.
40-hour weekly schedule
(includes 80 total clinical hours)
Ambulance operator orientation (one week, full-time) begins September 7; EMT-Basic Class begin September 13 and are M-F, 9 am-5 pm; Classes end 8-9 weeks from start.

Please allow 3-4 hours for the interview process and assessment.
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have a High School diploma or GED
- Be 18 years of age (by the start of the class)
- Ability to pass a driver's history check, background check & drug screen
The positions for this posting falls into three tracks. Entrance is based on a scoring matrix consisting of your interview and an entrance exam.
- $10/hour wage for classroom hours + benefits package with a two-year commitment.
- FREE tuition & certification fees (National Registry, Georgia, Tennessee) for available candidates who pass and complete certification. Failure to reach certification requires reimbursement for class to the company.
Those not selected could have the opportunity to become a State Certified Ambulance operator and an apprentice. Those selected into the apprenticeship program will work as a full-time employee for Puckett EMS as an ambulance operator with the opportunity to be enrolled into the next available EMT class as an academy student.
Our EMT Course follows the National Standard Curriculum as defined by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (www.nremt.org). This course has been approved through the Georgia State Office of EMS and Trauma. Upon successful completion of our program, you will have the necessary skills and knowledge to pass both the cognitive and psychomotor exams required by NREMT. All of your clinical 3rd rides will be completed on our 911-Advanced Life Support and BLS Ambulances. Being able to provide you real-life emergency experience is what sets our programs apart from others. You will be actively engaged and challenged to be a part of “our team”.
