The Puckett EMS Training Academy is proud to present an accelerated 7-week EMT class beginning 2021.

Puckett EMS is seeking driven, dedicated candidates interested in taking the first step to join the emergency medical services industry. Your EMT certification is the first step in a career in EMS or can be a steppingstone to careers in public safety and health care.

Step 1:  Reserve your time for an open interview session in the form below. 

Step 2: Fill out a full application in advance for our Ambulance Operator position/EMT Academy. 

Step 3: Attend one of the mandatory open interview sessions on March 26 and 27 at the Puckett EMS Academy, 1430 Suggs St. Rossville, GA 30741

Please allow 3-4 hours for the interview process and assessment.


The positions for this posting falls into three tracks. Entrance into one of the three tracks is based on a scoring matrix consisting of your interview and an entrance exam.

Track 1: A limited number of paid stipends are available: $10/hour wage for classroom hours + benefits package with a two-year commitment. Limited slots available.

Track 2: FREE tuition & certification fees (National Registry, Georgia) for available candidates who pass and complete certification with a one-year employment commitment. Limited slots available. Failure to reach certification requires reimbursement for class to the company.

Track 3: Become a State Certified Ambulance operator and an apprentice. Those selected into the apprenticeship program will work as a full-time employee for Puckett EMS as an ambulance operator with the opportunity to be enrolled into the next available EMT class as an academy student.


  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Have a High School diploma or GED
  • Be 18 years of age (by the end of the class)


Our EMT Course follows the National Standard Curriculum as defined by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (www.nremt.org). This course has been approved through the Georgia State Office of EMS and Trauma. Upon successful completion of our program, you will have the necessary skills and knowledge to pass both the cognitive and psychomotor exams required by NREMT. All of your clinical 3rd rides will be completed on our 911-Advanced Life Support and BLS Ambulances. Being able to provide you real-life emergency experience is what sets our programs apart from others. You will be actively engaged and challenged to be a part of “our team”.
