- Primary responsible for the repair and maintenance of all company vehicles.
- Responsible for completing repairs, adjustments and preventative maintenance service and checks on company vehicles in accordance with prescribed PM policies and procedures.
- Responsible for accurate record keeping of all services and repairs completed.
- Responsible for alerting the Maintenance Manager for any suspected or confirmed abuse of company vehicles/equipment.
- Responsible for determining if reported failures are the result of improper operation by crew members, material defects, normal wear, or other causes.
- Responsible for facility and ground maintenance as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Complete preventative maintenance checks and services on all vehicles.
- Perform diagnosis and repair on brake systems.
- Perform diagnosis and repair of electrical systems.
- Perform diagnosis and repair of power train.
- Perform diagnosis and repair of air conditioning/heating systems.
- Respond to road calls as needed.
- Remain abreast of changes and trends in the industry.
- Accept other associated responsibilities and projects as assigned.
- Hourly rate $28-32 based on experience. Non-exempt.

- Strong knowledge of methods, material, tools, and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment: operating principles of gasoline and diesel engines and of mechanical repair of vehicles ranging from passenger cars to in the one (1) ton category.
- Locating, correcting, and adjusting defects in complex automotive and mechanical equipment; performing skilled work in repairing, overhauling, and maintaining gas and diesel powered automotive equipment; intercepting and working from charts, technical manuals, and diagrams; using and caring for tools and equipment used in automotive and mechanical repair work; maintaining detailed and routine records.
- Ability to work well with others.

- Currently possess a current valid driver’s license.
- Two (2) years of confirmed experience as a mechanic, or One (1) year of confirmed experience after successful completion of an industry recognized trade school or college.
- Strong background in electrical, air conditioning, heating, braking, and power train systems. To include diagnosis and repair.
- Certification for procurement/purchasing, of refrigerant type gases and oils for air-conditioning systems.
- Must furnish own tools.
- Must be available 24 hours a day.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to use a variety of Office Equipment.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs.
- Ability to use a variety of tools and machinery.
- Ability to perform various physical labored intensive tasks.

- No emotional, mental, nervous, organic, or functional disorder likely to interfere with safe emergency driving and operation of automotive repair machinery or tools.
- No impairment of use of foot, leg, hands, arms or other structural defects or limitations likely to interfere with safe driving and operation of automotive repair machinery or tools.
- The incumbent is expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the Company’s privacy policies, procedures, practices, as required by federal and South Carolina law, and in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health care provider. Failure to comply with the Company’s policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or association with Medshore Ambulance Service.

Minimum EMT Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- State of Tennessee EMT License
- Basic Life Support Certification
- PHTLS or equivalent certification (within 6 months of hire date)
- EVOC or equivalent certification
- Current State of Tennessee Drivers License

LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION
The Priority Ambulance family of companies values EMS leadership and recognizes that commitment through the Priority Ambulance Leadership Foundation. The Foundation has developed a unique and distinctive path for career advancement to promising EMS leaders of the future. The year-long EMS Leadership of Tomorrow program offers educational and mentoring opportunities to qualified professionals in and outside of the EMS industry. Hands-on coursework is taught during weeklong sessions hosted quarterly at various locations throughout the country.
